On September 25th from 3 to 5 p.m. Psi Chi, the psychology honor society and service organization on TTU's campus will be hosting "The Hungry Games" on the Main Quad. There will be no admission price, but to participate in the games such as corn hole, frisbee, croquet, kickball, etc., participants are asked to bring two non-perishable food items to donate to the TTU Food Pantry.
For more information about the event, you may contact TTU's chapter of Psi Chi and direct your questions to Amelia Mimms, firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information about which foods are best to donate, visit http://ttufoodpantry.weebly.com/donate.html.
Everyone please come out to support Psi Chi, the TTU Food Pantry, and enjoy a fun evening while raising awareness about hidden hunger on college campuses.
Food banks across the nation work hard to provide food for thousands of individuals and families every year. The USDA has developed a link on their website for people to find nutritional information about the food they receive and recipes suggesting yummy ways to cook the food. We have added this link to our website in hopes of helping people find new, creative ways to prepare staple foods.
